Hardy, deciduous bulb with glassy green erect leaves with green-purplish spots above and purple stripes beneath. In summer it blooms with bright pink small flowers in dense heads at the tip of short flowering stems. A beautiful addition to a grassland garden or moist rockery. Used in traditional medicine. The bulbs are flowering size and about 2 cm in diameter.
