Massonia mimetica
Family: Hyacinthaceae
The cinnamon-colored leaves with pustules are typical for the species in habitat, however the color often disappears in cultivation, probably due to lack of light. Flowers are quite colorful with cream-white to pale yellow filaments with a reddish base and pale orange or rarely purplish-bluish anthers.
Sowing instructions: Sow seeds in autumn in a well-draining medium. Spread seeds thinly to prevent damping-off. Cover with a thin layer of river sand. Keep moist. Seed will germinate in about 2 weeks after sowing.
