Massonia pygmaea (Hyacinthaceae) This is a small massonia, with a leaf span of about 6cm. The leaves can be hairy or they can be glabrous. It can be identified from its size and from the stamens, which are different lengths in each of the two series of three stamens. It tends to be a high altitude species. It is the earliest-flowering massonia. Sowing: Sow seeds in autumn in a well drained medium. Locality: Kamiesberg. Harvest: August 2023
