Bulbous geophyte up to 40cm. Leaves 3-6, usually dry at flowering, oblong-lanceolate, often with spotted sheathing bases, often pubescent, margins thickened and minutely bristly; flowers white in a narrow raceme, tepals spreading or reflexed.
Sowing instructions: Sow seeds in autumn in a well-draining medium. Spread seeds thinly to prevent damping-off. Cover with a thin layer of river sand. Keep moist. Seed will germinate in about 2 weeks after sowing.
