Plectranthus zuluensis. (Lamiaceae). It is a succulent like but soft schrub that likes shade. It grows up to 2 m high, with much-branched, four-angled, hairy stems which are velvety to the touch when young. The leaves are soft, semi-succulent. Flowers vary from mauve to deep purple/blue. Sowing : Sow seeds in summer. Locality : Grahamstown. Date of harvest : October 2013
