It is a perennial succulent, up to 8 cm tall and up to10 cm in diameter, with 2 or 4, opposite, almost hemispherical leaves. The flower is daisy-like, up to 7.5 cm in diameter, and emerges from the center of the leaves. The flower is a purple color.
