Raphionacme burkei. (Apocynaceae) Native to the summer growing parts of South Africa. Small growing caudiciform perennial herb producing trailing, vining shoots. The caudex is big, mostly spherical, flattened, almost always unbranched, smooth, above-ground. It might grow to 30 centimeters or more. Sowing: Sow in trays, pots, etc of good seed compost in a propagator or warm place to maintain an optimum temperature of 20-25C. Cover with peat or sand. Locality: Pretoria. Harvest: April 2024
