Raphionacme flanaganii (live succulent)
Family: Apocynaceae
It is an unusual caudiciform plant for succulent collectors. The top growth produces vines over the summer months and the leaves have slightly fuzzy undersides. The large, raised caudex stores water and nutrients. Once the active growing season is over, you can cut back the vines and reduce water for the winter months. Small, sweet-smelling flowers appear in summer and attract bees which pollinate the species. Grow in partial sun to light shade.
