Monsonia salmoniflora (Sarcocaulon salmoniflorum) It is a genus of succulent, spiny shrublets with short stems, branching just above soil level. The fleshy branches are prostrate, semi-erect or erect, covered with waxy, translucent bark. Sowing: Seed should be sown in autumn, in a well-drained seedling mix, and need only be covered lightly with the sowing mix, clean coarse sand or milled bark.
