Plants stout to slender and erect up to 35cm tall. Leaves near ground level, ovate, transition to upper sheaths gradual. Inflorescence dense with 6-150 dull white flowers tinged with green and with pale purple patches at the two lip entrances, faintly cheese-scented. Bracts spreading then incurved. Spurs pouch-shaped, 1mm long. The mouth of the flower almost completely divided vertically into two entrances by the descending lip.
