Fairly hardy, evergreen, small to medium tree with beautiful, dark green, lush foliage. It bears attractive white flowers in mid to late summer that are followed by attractive black berries, which attract birds. The coastal milkwood makes a good garden subject and grows well in the warmer gardens of the Highveld in sun or semi-shade. Size 4 to 15m. S.A. No. 579.
Sowing instructions: Sow seed in a sandy, loam soil mix in a seed tray. Keep the tray moist in a warm place that will enhance better germination. Seeds should take 4 to 6 weeks to germinate. Sow seed in summer.
