Solanum catombelense. It is an erect shrub growing 40 – 100cm tall. Sparsely branched, it is unarmed or with a few spines. The plant is sometimes gathered from the wild for local use as a food and medicine. Sowing: Seed should be sown in spring or during summer, in a well-drained seedling mix, and need only be covered lightly with the sowing mix, clean coarse sand or milled bark. The trays should be kept moist in a warm but shaded position. Locality: Pietersburg. Harvest: November 2023
