Stapelia kwebensis

Stapelia kwebensis (Asclepiadaceae) The stems are bright green, short-toothed with erect, prominent rudimentary leaves. Flowers are small, carried on short pedicels near the apex or in the middle of the stem and vary in coloration from yellow-ish to green to brown or dark red. Sowing : Seed should be sown in spring or during summer, in a well-drained seedling mix, and need only be covered lightly with the sowing mix, clean coarse sand or milled bark to stop it from blowing away. The trays should be kept moist in a warm but shaded position. Locality: Opuwo. Harvest: July 2023
