It is a deciduous climbing shrub with stems that can be 2 – 6 meters long. The roots are semi-tuberous, producing a trunk that can be 1 – 25cm in diameter.

Sowing instructions: Sow in trays filled with a well-drained sowing mix; seeds need only be covered lightly with the sowing mix of clean coarse sand or milled bark to stop them from blowing away.
