It is a stem and leaf succulent growing from a partly underground caudex or thick rootstock that develops stubby, spreading branches, up to 30 cm tall and 2 cm in diameter.
Sowing instructions: Sow in trays, pots, etc of good seed compost in a propagator or warm place to maintain an optimum temperature of 20-25°C. Cover with peat or sand.
